Costa Rica Vacation

We just decided to plan a last minute trip to Costa Rica. Any suggestions for a small hotel or bed/breakfast?

Check out this website!http://www.costa-rica-hotels-travel.com/ This place is great. Check any guide book and it will tell you the same. While in San Jose stay at
http://www.hotelgranodeoro.com/

Michael Mills
Sundancer Tours
Spanish Dancer Sailing & Snorkeling Adventures
http://www.spanishdancercharters.com/
Hi Scott: Basically, we are planning on staying in Guanacaste area and have been thinking about ellocatel bay as a destination (forgive the spelling). Like any other tired New Yorker who has been through much this past year, we want rest and relaxation but also want to sample nightlife and quality food.
We are not the hotle types so I was thinking more in the lines of a villa/house or B & B.
Thanks for getting back and I was actually hoping to hear from you.
I promise I won't ask about the weather or vaccinations. I just want to go to CR...
BruceZ

Hi Bruce,
We just got back from 10 days in Tamarindo and we loved every minute of it! I would recommend the Sueno Del Mar B&B in Playa Langaosta, Tamarindo (www.sueno-del-mar.com) We didn't stay there but we did have breakfast there and it was wonderful. Everyone we talked to that had stayed there loved it! Sueno del Mar is right on the beach and the sunsets are fantastic. The food and nightlife in Tamarindo are excellent... our favorite restruants were Pachanga, Lazy Wave, and Stella. I wish I was back there!

Bruce,

Heidi actually beat me to my suggestion. I think you would really love Sueno del Mar also. I often send guests there that are looking for a small B&B style place. If you have the energy you might also want to check out the Arenal area. You could enjoy a soak in the hot springs with a margarita.
Bruce-

Definitely go to Sueno Del Mar. My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights there last March. It was the best vacation!!! We are not hotel types either. this place is unbelivable. The rooms, the breakfasts, the owners. I was a little skeptical about CR, but now, it is the only place I want to go.

kr

Depending on your areas and budget, here are some places

On your first and last night you should consider cannon´s oasis, a marvellous b´n b in Alajuela, close to the airport with pickup included in the price:
http://www.geocities.com/cannonsoasis

Hermosa, Ocotal, Playa del Coco Areas http://www.costa-rica-hotels-vacation.com/ http://www.costaricahotel.net/
http://www.costa-rica-hotels-travel.com/ http://www.beach-hotels-in-costa-rica.com/ http://www.ranchoarmadillo.com/
Have fun!
Hi,
Another B&B suggestion near the airport for your first and last nights is Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn. We just stayed there and really loved it...20 minutes' drive from airport, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, food is excellent.
