Costa Rica Questions
I am trying to set up our next trip and we are thinking about Costa Rica in March.
We are thinking about taking the Caravan Tour. Anybody ever been on this to Costa Rica? I would appreciate any comments on it, if you have been on it before. I was also wondering what would be a good price for flights in March from Kansas City to San Jose? Right now, the best seems to be in the low 700s per person. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
March is usually an expensive time to travel (Spring Break). We live in KC and flew for approx $600 (per), but that was in early June. Enjoy!

I think you can check the prices on Expedia (etc.) for March. Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) tours to Costa Rica include some or all of the cost of air travel into the total cost if you wish. Doesn't Caravan do the same? We have done the OAT tour (last July), and I intend to have a report finished some day soon.

h, what a cool bit of software!
We usually pay about $400, but it's a direct flight for us. |
mh, based on what I've read, that fare seems reasonable to me. If you did decide to go on your own, it's pretty easy to plan and book things for CR.

$700 isn't bad - you aren't in a hub airport so will have to make a connection for the San Jose flight. March is high season so it sounds right.

Thanks so much for the replies. Haven't been able to check back until now.
I hope this is what we're going to be able to do. We absolutely loved our 10 days in San Pedro last March and are thinking CR might be even better. |
Thanks for posting the matrix link. It will make searching for air fares easier.

I agree $700 isn't too bad...probably won't go much lower. The itasofware website is great. I've been using it for years and it's saved me a couple times.
