Costa Rica question - what's the difference between hanging bridges and canopy walk
What's different between Costa Rica's hanging bridges and canopy walk ? I am not interested in swinging from tree to tree; I prefer to see wildlife. I see ads/websites for hanging bridges in Arenal and in Selvatura, and canopy walks in different places in Costa Rica.
I will be visiting Tortuguero, Arenal, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio in May for 2 weeks. Which canopy walk or hanging bridges would you recommend from among these places ? Thanks. |
Dear banares,
Canopy tours are when you slide on a cable from one tree to the next. Usually you don't see any animals, but it is a lot of fun! Hanging bridges are bridges built between trees, where you can often also see animals. As far as I know, there are hanging bridges in Monteverde and now in Arenal as well. Feel free to write me directly for more information. Pura Vida, Neta Talmor |
thank you, Neta.
I will already be taking a guided tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. What can be seen from the Monteverde Skywalk or the Selvatura Tree Top Walkways (which I think is sometimes referred to as the hanging bridges in Selvatura) that will be different ? I will also be taking a tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. What can be seen from the Rainmaker Canopy Walk that will be different ? I don't want to repeat tours if I'll see the same wildlife or plants. thanks again. |
Dear banares,
In terms of animals and plants, I believe what you already have planned (in Monteverde and MA), will cover everything. Good luck, have a great trip! Let me know if you need anything else. Pura Vida, Neta Talmor |
