Costa Rica or Belize?
 

My husband and I want to go on a relaxing vacation...I am thinking Costa Rica or Belize because I have always wanted to see a rainforest. I would like to go on a jungle tour and I love to kayak.
I don't want to do zip line or rafting and all the tours I find are like that.

Can anyone give me advice as to where to go?

Try putting 'Belize or Costa Rica' in the search window and hitting 'GO' - this has come up many times over the last 10 years and reading through those threads will help you decide without the regulars having to chime in all over again.

Both countries have rainforest, CR more so, but Belize also has Maya sites, caves with artifacts, the largest barrier reef in the hemisphere and is English speaking

Costa Rica I think is more develop in the tourism industry, so it will be easier for you to plan a trip there. The country has Rain Forest + Cloud Forest + Dry Forest and since is small you can see it on just few days. There is also a great Lake near a Volcano Name Arenal, you can do Kayaking there, is juts amazing !!

we were thinking of going to cr but decided to go to belize(in january 18) sounds like belize is more exotic. i already am planning to make a second trip there cause i feel like i need more time to do everything.

We've been to both and love both. I like Costa Rica more for wildlife and adventure activities, waterfalls, and jungle. I like Belize more for ruins and for snorkeling. Have seen kayaking in both.
