Costa Rica October Birding Trip
 

Wife, daughter and I just returned from a "too short" birding trip to Costa Rica. Stayed at Rancho Naturalista and Savegre Mountain Lodge plus Hotel Bougainvillea for first and last nights. Worked with Sonia at Costa Rica Gateway. Had a very enjoyable time. Promise a detailed trip report in a few days.

I am anxious to hear the details as well. We are in the beginning stages of building a property near Rancho, love the area. Did you stay at Rancho Bajo or the lodge? Like colibri, Rancho and Savegre are two of my favorite places as well.

We stayed at the lodge (rooms 1 and 2) in the main building. As the only guests we kinda got spoiled. Report taking longer than I thought. Wanted to finish the bird list for pictures and already in the 90's and are only in day two of stay at Rancho Naturalista. Promise I will hurry.
