You might want to consider the Hep A/B combo that's widely available now. My employer is offering it free of charge and I hear it is easy to obtain at most clinics. It is not required, but I keep reading it is probably a good idea. If you lotion up/spray before you see bugs, it really helps reduce the amount of bites you'll end up with. I usually do it in reverse even though I know better. I also take some Benadryl (cream too) along so I'm not so uncomfortable. Be careful to protect your ankles if you like to walk the beach barefoot. Sand flea bites can get painful. Lotion tends to keep them off so having a sample tube in your pocket could save you discomfort later.
