Costa Rica departure tax

Is the departure tax still $26.00 US per person? Have been there in a couple years and can't seem to find the answer.
thanks, LisaS

Yes it is $26 per person payable by credit card or cash when you leave at the airport

You can now pay the Tax when you arrive in CR before you go through the immigration booths. It is over near the back of the lines in a small booth. It saved us lots of time leaving and it was not like we had much to do but wait in line during the arrival process.

You can pay by credit card, but the transaction is treated like a cash advance, and the interest begins accumulating immediately.

You can pay cash or credit card. But beware (at least at Liberia airport) only Visa was accepted.
