Costa Rica
Any town suggestions for first time traveling to Costa Rica in the winter 2024. We enjoy all inclusive but recently retired. Renting a condo for a month is an option too. TY

The most popular combination for first timers is to visit Manuel Antonio and the the Arenal/La Fortuna area. Manuel Antonio has the beach and a national park full of monkeys and sloths; the Arenal area has the volcano, hanging bridges, nice hiking, and adventure activities. All inclusives aren't really very popular in Costa Rica. With a month you have plenty of time to explore other areas, are you wanting to stay in one place the entire time? Monteverde has a cooler climate and is nice for hiking and birding. There are a lot of beaches in the Guanacaste area you could explore. The Osa Peninsula is more off the grid and has amazing wildlife. Tortuguero has a canal based environment you can tour via boat to see wildlife. I wouldn't really recommend San Jose - lots of traffic and congestion, bars on the windows, etc.
