Contacting home from Bosque del Cabo
Have any of you who have stayed at BdC ever phoned or emailed the U.S.? We are leaving our two daughters with my husband's parents while in CR, and while we are not going to be worried about them (they are in great hands), they may want to hear from us once or twice. BdC did say they have internet service and a cell phone, but didn't give me any details. Do you recommend that I purchase an international phone card? Or should I try to fire off a quick email back home while in Puerto Jimenez? Any suggestions?

Pick up a 199 card before you go to Puerto Jimenez (they may have them there, but I wouldn't bet on it). You can even buy $20 cards now. That will buy you about 60 minutes of call time, I think. The 3000 colones cards will get you about 18 minutes, the best I remember. The 3000 colones card will cost you about $7-8, I think. . .

Stayed at BdC last year and used the phone on premises with the 199 card.
You can pick one up in the customs area at the airport. As far as e-mail they have ability at BdC, but really CHARGE for it. With phone its cheap, and clear as a whistle
