Colonnia from Buenos Aires ?

I have a few questions and would appreciate some advice. How long does the hydrofoil take to get to and from Colonnia from B.A. ? What sightseeing is recommended in Colonnia and does anyone have a recommendation for a good Uraguayan restaurant for lunch ? Thanks again.

It takes an hour. Leaves from a port in Retiro.

in fact there are 2 one is the fast ferry that takes 45minutes. and the other is the slow one and takes 2,30 hs. The crossing is in gral pleasant.
Ones begins at 9 am and the other at 11
In both you arrive at 6:30/7 pm
What is better for you is to get a tour. you dont need to worry about anything. they generally take people to "Renata Restaurant", they have a city tour and free time.
It is a nice day to spend a day. Take care because Fridays,Saturday and Sundays are the busiest days, cause many locals come and go.
You will like the place, a colonial city and you will be impressed by the warmth of the Uruguayan people.
good luck.

Colonia is a tiny town. Only the old Colonial part is interesting. Around the main sq there are severa nice little restaurants. You can check with the Tourist Office
