Christmas vacation in Brazil with teens
I am trying to figure out where to take our family for Christmas break during the next school year. Definitely want a beach vacation. We've been to Playa del Carmen and Punta Cana recently, and as a result my kids love the all-inclusive atmosphere, but we don't need to do an all-inclusive, so long as there is a great beach, interesting cultural experience and something to do in the evenings. Someone mentioned Buzios in Brazil. There's not much that has been mentioned, but is this a place where two teenage girls (15 and 17) would enjoy, or is it all couples? Any other suggestions? I also thought about Costa Rica, but is that all inclusive atmosphere too much like the DR and Playa del Carmen?

Barbara, yes I think you are on the right track. I have a teenager also and have thought of bringing him to Buzios also. It is a perfect place with great beaches and plenty of young people from all over the world on holiday. Take a look at teh Buzios website www.buziosonline.com at the Collana Park hotel its right on the beach. When you arrive in Rio take a taxi for 2.5 hours straight to your hotel, all very nice and easy.

hi there, i doubt that you would find Costa Rica to be at all like Punta Cana. There is so much more to do and the people are alot friendlier. We have been to 2 all inclusives and i would not say there is alot for kids to do but we found that in Punta Cana too.
The wildlife in Costa Rica and the zip lines, etc are great fun for kids. Ours love it.
