Christmas in Puebla?

We are planning a trip to Puebla starting on December 25 or 26. Is anything open on December 25 in Puebla? For example, would any shops, restaurants or churches be open or taxis available to visit Cholula or other areas? We can't tell if it would be a fun time to be there given the significance of the holiday or a time when everyone is with their family and nothing is open to visit. We appreciate any guidance.

Churches will be open on Christmas, of course, not sure why you might think they wouldn't. Christmas is a big family time or people go on holiday to the beaches, so it won't be busy there. Some restaurants and other things will be closed. Most of the Christmas events are prior to that, like the posadas, even the main meal is the 24th, not 25th. Christmas itself is quiet.

I don't know if that archeologicl park in Cholula will be open on Christmas, maybe someone else will know. Personally, if you are going to visit for the holiday, I would think it would be better to arrive in advance to get some of the festivities, not to arrive on Christmas itself.
