i think it's the same place- i think chico's is the correct spelling. Have you seen them referenced somewhere as 2 diff places?

They are definitely two different places because I went to both of them about a thousand years ago. Your post caught my attention, because I had forgotten I ever went to these places. I remember that one of them was definitely better than the other, although both were nice. One of them had a restaurant that had great food and overlooked the rocks/falls. Why do I think Chico's was the nicest/biggest? I will rack my brain in trying to remember for you.

2 different places. Chinos is about 8 miles south, there's a little shopping there and a nice resaurant. It's at the entrance to where you would go up to see where Governor Arnold made the movie Preditor. That's worth going to see, also.

Chico's is even farther south, nice restaurant. Not to far from the Jungle Canopy tour, which is soooo fun. Makes ya feel like tarzan when your fly thru the jungle.

also, check out Le Kliff restaurant on the way down to Chico's. It is beautiful.

I just checked my guide book on Le Kliff: open noon to 10pm daily, US$ 14-28 unless you go for all the way with the seafood combo $86 for two. It's on hwy 200 so you can't miss it, about 17.5km south. A must see.

El eden and Chinos is about 13km south

Chicos is about 20kms south, US$11-24, open 10am to 6pm daily.

Lyns,

We dined at Chino's (up the Mismaloya River from the the La Jolla de Mismaloya hotel) and it was the best meal we had in the PV area. All together, a wondeful experience.

I have a few photos of the restaurant in my Puerto Vallarta photo album. You can (if you wish) see them here:
