Chile (with a baby) for a week

We're headed to Chile for a week around thansgiving, and have sort of settled on a very laid back itinerary of 3 nights in Santiago and 3 nights in Valpo, and an add-in night somewhere in the wine country.

So on to the questions:
+ Is this too boring? Is there anything we *should* add? (Bear in mind; we're traveling with a 1.3 yr old)
+ What are good places to see in Santiago and Valpo?
+ Where to stay in the wine country?
+ Great vienyards?
+ what are good restaurants in those places? Both kid-friendly and high-dining?
+ Any other tips?

I did search, am still perplexed, and would appreciate input!

PS
We'll be staying in the san cristobal towers in Santiago, and the Sheraton on the coast.

I believe the Sheraton is located between Valpo & Vina del Mar, plenty of things to see and do without being bored. Valpo is more culturally interesting, and visually pleasing. Valpo is a lot of fun to walk around in, exploring the hills and you can take a boat ride down by the pier - make sure to bargain with the captains.
Most restaurants are "kid-friendly", but keep in mind Chileans eat pretty late (9-10pm at the earliest), so if you go earlier the restaurants will be pretty dead - which may be good for a young child. Brush up on your spanish food words though as the better restaurants don't typically have english menus.

sounds great, Ahc.

we will be going early, and probably feel better about not disrupting other eaters too much. Any recommendations for restaurants in Valpo?
