Chile & Easter Island 10 days
 

We would like to visit Chile and Easter Island for about 10 days sometime in the next year. What time of year is best? If we spend 3 days in Easter Island and 2 days in Santiago. What should we do with our remaining time? The Atacama desert is appealing, but do we have enough time and is it $$$ to get there? We would like to confine our trip to Chile as we have spent time in Argentina on a couple other trips.
Your ideas please.

If you plan to go to Easter Island and spend three days there then you will take up five days of your visit. The rest of the time would probably be best spent around Santiago including a visit to the wineries and Valparaiso.

Is that 3 (?full) days or 3 nights? ((*))
