We have gotten a good price with them for Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen. Any one have experience with this company? Any problems. Always hesitant booking online without talking to a person, but the person I happened to get sounded a little confused!

Thanks. I've used them for flights before with no problem, just never for hotels. I'm sure it will be fine.

Just be aware that if you book with Cheap Tickets, they don't forward your information to the hotel until 2-3 days before you arrive. They don't explain this when you are signing up for the hotel with them. Yep--they make you pay in full and you can't get a confirmation from the hotel ahead of time. The hotel apparently has a spot reserved, but they don't get your name until you're about to arrive--my worry is that without my name, they (the hotel) may bump my spot for someone who is willing to pay more $ for the same room. Also, I spent a lot of $ calling Mexico trying to make sure that I had a reservation because Cheap Tickets advises you to do that. Then I called Cheap Tickets to find out what was going on because the hotel didn't know who I was. Finally asked for a Cheap Tickets Supervisor. She volunteered to call the hotel in Mexico while she had me on the line and she gave me a confirmation code. Then, I finally got a confirmation email directly from the hotel.

Yikes...that makes me a little uncomfortable. I worry about getting bumped if they've over booked. I booked this vacation package for another couple too. Guess I'll give themm a call.
