Chan Chich in July?
We are thinking of going to Chan Chich in July and were wondering if anyone here had been during that time and could let us know about the expected weather and wildlife. We have been in February before and loved it. Even though we save some money in the offseason, it is still quite an investment so any information is appreciated.

July is rainy season-lite. Not as hot as some US cities the same days. Different migratory birds and you can get the list from CC, but local wildlife will be about the same as Feb.

Is there a good website to check out for Belizean average temps and rainfall patterns?

atd, I saw a Chan Chich package over on Luxury Link - you'd have to work out the costs, but it looks like a good package in case you're interested.

Thanks for the replies.
I did some research and late July into August seem to be "dry season lite" with about 2 inches less rain on average. Volcano girl - I was looking at Luxury Link since you can save some $ that way. Also, here are a couple sites that have some useful weather information: http://www.belizenet.com/weather/climate.html http://www.climatetemp.info/belize/ |
Thanks - that's perfect.

We are booked at Chan Chich for the first week of August. Should be a lot of fun and we can't wait. I will be sure to share our adventures when we get back.

Have a great trip! I'll be interested to hear how it goes as we've only been there in early March.
