Caves Branch Tours
 

Hi All,<BR><BR>I am planning a trip here in June and wondering what everyone who has been thought of the tours. We are going using the 4 night all-inclusive which includes 3 day tours, or 1 day and 1 overnight. We are pretty much sold on the tubbing and the black hole drop. My dilema is should we do the black hole drop over night, or do the Waterfall Expedition. I have not heard much about the waterfall tour, and would appreciate any comments, expecially, if you had to "climb through caves in neck deep water, with only enoough room to breathe" I saw this on someone's webiste and that freaked me out. Any other info on the other tour appreciated too.<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Joanna

I did the River Cave and Black Hole drop in December. The Black Hole and the Waterfall are the two most difficult trips they offer. All of their guides are very knowledgeable and safety oriented. A honeymoon couple on the Black Hole trip did the overnight and they said they enjoyed it. I was told that the Waterfall trip is the most rigorous. Have fun

hi there. my girlfriend and i are going in two weeks. we saw this cavesbranch.com site and were wondering if it was worth the costs. have you done the "seven mile" tubing one? the black hole sounds very cool, too. we're both in good shape and are wondering how fun the trips are. thanks<BR>

Hi,<BR>Hey Matt,<BR><BR>From what I have read there have never been any negative comments about this place, everything from the rooms, showers, staff, food and tours have received excellent reviews. I belive there are more options with regards to the tubing, I have heard the Caves Branch is supposed to be the best though, and yes, I am pretty sure it is the full 7 mile journey. Plus the 4 night all inclusive is a great deal, when for instance people pay around $90 just for 1 tour. $490 four nights, meals, and three tours. Not Bad! <BR><BR>Have Fun.

Actun Tunich Muchnal tours start in San Ignacio and I'd go with Emilio Awe. Lifetime memory and average agility is required. Che Chem Ha cave is also great. The 7 miles cave trip run at Caves Branch is easy and passive-you sit in an inner tube and float. Very pretty and lots of fun.
