Casa Dorada, Los Cabos

Has anyone been to the new villa resort Casa Dorada Spa and Golf Resor? We're planning a trip in July.

We went there last March (2002) it had only been opened a few months. The place is BEAUTIFUL! We travel all over and it was by far one of our favorite. We stayed in a suite on the time share side so I can't speak for the hotel rooms - but I'm sure they are very nice as well. The pool area is magnificent - futon longe chairs with a cascading pool. We love Cabo, we have been their as a couple and another time with kids - great vacation.

Cabo is no place for kids. This is not a family destination. This is a place with Strip Joints right out on the main street in front of yur face. This is place where a rough crowd comes to fish[going to extinction fish grounds] , get drunk, get laid. This is a place where all you find is timeshare hucksters [many from the U.S. trying to get you to drop ten grand or more of your money. Check Frommers on Timeshare Beware. It is flim flam and scam.
We all know the Cabo Shills pop up on this board to pump their resorts.
Stayed in timeshare end- LOL- nothing worse than sitting around with the weak willed who couln't say no at the presentation.

There is nothing like coming home and telling your friends and relatives you just laid out $10,000 for a one week timeshare.

They stare at you with disbelieving eyes as you sit there like a couple of PARROTS repeating the sales pitch.

Ya we can rent it out for $200, we can will to our kids, we can resell it, they aren't making anymore, waterfront is going up, they just got 3 foreclosures back on the market we were ever so lucky to get the deal.

Thanks for your review Diane. It was refreshing in light of all of the NEGATIVE press Los Cabos gets on this message board.

Any restaurants on the resort? If not, how far are they and how expensive? Any spa treatments included? If not, how expensive? Any meal plans or all inclusive pacjages offered?

Hey Tweety this isn't the only board on the net where Cabo gets negative reports. It has negative reports on a number of other boards as well.

Hey the Place is a shithole {literally and firguratively] you can't hide what is by popping up a few expensive to rent hotels. Shitaroo the new name for Cabo is Timeshare Hell.

The only people that pump Cabo are those that have invested the dinero{money} in Cabo. You know some of them have been trying to sell what they bought for years and at half the price. We say they all looking for a sucker like themselves to buy into it.

Don't Listen the Hawkers they will tell you have arrived in Paradise. Hang around get the low down on all the scams, rip offs. There are so many FLAKES in Cabo you could open up a Corn Flakes business.
