We were there in February a couple years ago and really enjoyed it and would recommend it highly. Beautiful grounds. Nice casitas (try to get the round one set in woods on its own - might be #1). We saw the most spectacular disply of fireflies in the trees there. The property is back a bumpy road from the beach in a jungle setting. Good trails on the property itself. We saw blue morpho butterflies, spider monkeys, many birds, bats hanging in a tree during the day, scarlet macaws on the beach. Casa has its own nice beach area with shaded seating. Current pretty rough as I recall -- but that's not unusual for CR. Staff was very nice/helpful. Getting there was part of the adventure!
Food was just so/so, but I don't expect gourmet food in CR. Path into Corcovado Natl Park right from Casa's property. Excellent guides. We did the hike into the park and saw hummingbird nest and eggs, crocodile, anteater, coatis, boa constrictor, birds galore. .. We also did the snorkel trip to Cano Island. Not the best snorkeling, but still saw some things and enjoyed the trip -- lunch on the beach there, dolphin sitings, etc. Happy to answer any other questions you may have.
