Casa Amorita
I am looking for information on Casa Amorita in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Has anyone stayed here? Is it conveniently located? Does anyone have any other recommendation for another B&B?

Penny, Casa Amorita is wonderful. My fiance and I were there last August. I would go back in a second. I have already posted a message about Casa Amorita on this board (do a search for Casa Amorita and it will pull up). I would also recommend eating at Mezza Luna. Rita (the owner of Casa Amorita) recommended it and it was fantastic. It's in walking distance from Casa Amorita.

Where is Casa Amorita located in PV? Is it in a location that one can walk to restaurants/bars/shopping?

For Penny & Sue~ From the website Amorita appears to be near, up behind the main cathedral? This would make it very convenient to shopping, restaurants and bars but a bit of a hike to get down to the beach.

My favorite is Casa Andrea near Playa Los Muertos (beach) located in the south part of old town. Beautiful garden, nice pool, rooms have patio kitchens. www.casa-andrea.com

Sorry for the late response. Casa Amorita is right behind the cathedral on a cobble stone street. Definitely in walking distance to restaurants and bars. We walked to Trios, Mezza Luna and a lot of other places. The web site is www.casaamorita.com. The pics on the web site are old as there is A LOT more tree growth and flowers around the house now. There is also a bar on the roof now w/a thatched roof. Some of my favorite things:

- huge iron french doors onto a private balcony w/iron table and chairs that overlook the bay
- swimming pool w/bar that actually goes under the house and into the living room
- beautiful rooftop bar w/iron bar stools and tables
- incredible homemade breakfasts
- iron canopy and or wood carved beds

It's private, small (4 guestrooms?) and very clean.
