Caravan tour fun for 25 year olds?

My wife and I (both 25) are interested in visiting Costa Rica soon. We enjoy travelling and our last few trips were 100% planned and executed by ourselves. I don't really have the time to plan a full itinerary for this trip, however. Also, I think it would be tough to beat the $1000 price tag that Caravan charges for all lodging, transportation, meals, guides, etc...

I certainly mean no offense to the more experienced generation of travelers but I think we would be most happy on a tour that had at least some people in a comparable age group. Are these tours geared towards all ages? We're fairly active people but I have no problem kicking back and going with the flow to see Costa Rica for 10 days. I'm just worried if it was mainly an older crowd there's a chance we could get bored.

What do you think, am I being silly? I've read a ton of reviews and the Caravan tour seems like a pretty good, easy, relatively cheap way to take a trip. Very tempted.

Been on the boards for a decade never have seen a good review on caravan.com from a 25 year old more for budget families
but fine if that is your cupof tea but not mine.

lovecostarica.com or servicecarrental.com self guide cheap
flights down on spirit.com for me. Unleess of course you like long bus rides crammed in with folks/kids you do not know stale hotel food and staler guides.Have seen good on caravan.com mainly from older folks who were not picky with families. Some rooms do not have AC according to a few complaints I have seen.So for me cheap flight down on spirit.com jetblue.com car rental cheap hotels at discounts all over. costarica.bookit.com good salesbut many cheaper when you arrive I alway book on the fly requesting 50% or more "hospitality"discounts.

Good luck!

Caravan does a GREAT tour of Costa Rica. The ages vary on any group tour. At your age you will most likely be at the lower end of the age group, but that doesn't mean the tour will not be quite active.

You will probably be the youngest and may chafe a little under the exacting schedule you have to keep. Here's an idea - contact Pat Hewitt at http://www.lovecostarica.com/ and tell him what you'd like to do and your budget, and see if he can't put together something for you that still works but keeps you on your own schedule.
