I have been looking around online to find a good car rental service in C.R. We would probably need the car for approx. 9 days and it would be a pick up/drop off in SJO. Any recommendations on which company to book thru? We would like 4x4, a reliable company, but a good price.

Also, are there any possibilities of a pick up in Arenal area?

Oh one more thing. I have heard of Vamos Rent-a-car. Anybody know anything about this company?

For years we have used Tricolor near the airport. We have also rented from them in San Jose. We have found their prices to be the best, and when they quote a price for me online, there are no hidden charges.

Thanks for the tip on Tricolor. It was without the "s" on the end. What about pickups in Arenal/La Fortuna area?
