Car Rental Company Recommendations
 
I have been to Costa Rica several times and the last I rented with Avis from the SJO airport and it went very smoothly. I was going to use them again and then saw their ranking in Expedia and it made me concerned (less than 20% satisfaction). Any recent experiences with AVIS or recommendations on good alternatives?

I've never rented from Avis in Costa Rica, but I have rented with Vamos a couple times and been very satisfied. We had been planning a trip in 2021, but decided not to go due to pandemic concerns, but we were planning to rent from Vamos again on that trip.
