Capitan Suizo, Tamarindo; Xandari Plantation, Alajuela, Costa Rica - Anyone stayed there?
Just reposting my question from a few days ago since I realized I misspelled the names of both hotels.
Comments from anybody who stayed/has seen these will be appreciated. We are tentatively scheduled to stay in both places in mid August. Also what should we expect weather wise?

You will love the Xanderi, stayed there last March. Very relaxed, good management and service, beautiful view, charming room (although soft mattress), hiking trail and waterfalls on site! Didn't stay at El Capitan Suizo but it looked nice and would definitely stay there if I went back to Tamarindo. Hotel Tamarindo Diria is also nice. Don't know about the weather in August, but the afternoons in March were pretty hot, had to get out of the sun, don't think the summers are much different though! Have fun, it is a great country and I am hoping to go back next year!

Capitan Suizo is outstanding! We were there last May and we would love to go back.

Capitan Suizo IS FABULOUS. Try to get one of their individual rooms/suites, and the closer to the beach, the better!
I like their pool alot too!
As for weather, it's ALWAYS hot!
Enjoy your trip.

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Costa Rica. We spent our last night at Xandari Plantation. It is wonderful! The villas are great and the service is excellent. They have a few hiking trails to 5 waterfalls. I would highly recommend Xandari.
