Hi. Can anyone help?

My partner and I are planning to go to Central America for three weeks in February. I plan on going to Nicaragua and one of other country but am stuck between going to Honduras or Costa Rica. Could anyone who has visited both advise?

I am looking forward to visiting lovely relaxing beaches, snorkelling. Also would like some lively night life at some point.
I also like visiting charming little towns/historical sites.

Costa Rica does not have much in the way of snorkeling or historical sites. Not really a lot of nightlife either, although it can be found.

Snorkeling is much better in Northern Honduras than anywhere in Costa Rica.

I've seen lovely beaches in both places.

Night life? can't help you, we avoid cities when in Central America.

snorkeling would be roatan.

When we were in Costa Rica we spent a few nights in Tamarindo - there was some decent nightlife to be found there.
