Canopy Tour with Toddlers

Anyone have experiences with taking little ones on a canopy zip line? We're taking a 2 year old and an almost 4 year old. Any specific companies to contact? We're leaving June 4. Thanks a bunch!

I am pretty sure 2 and 4 is too young for zip lines. Sky Trek, a reputable company in Monteverde, allows kids no younger than 8. You could contact another reputable company in Monteverde: The Original Canopy Tour (www.canopytour.com) or Titi Tours near Manuel Antonio(www.titicanopytours.com), which was recommended by a friend. There are other types of treetop tours, like hanging bridges and enclosed trams. (Rainforest Aerial Tram is one: www.rainforestram.com)

I'll just second what Mabel said. The company we used did not take children younger than 6 for Canopy tours.

Any reputable company wouldn't allow it. You have to be in good control of yourself and be able to stand on a platform high above the jungle floor. As a parent of two small children, 1 and 3, I would never even think about doing this with them, way to dangerous.

Thanks - we have discovered that taking the kids on this excursion isn't really an option. I appreciate all the opinions/replies.

At the age of your kids, my kids enjoyed things like the beach (but research to find a calm beach...I hear many beaches have rip-tides, etc.)...playing in the sand...the pool...and things like butterfly farms, zoos...Taking nature walks...
