Cancun's Sheraton or Westin Regina?

Considering 7 nights in September. Which resort would you choose? Interested in good beach location and resort amenities. Is one better than the other?

The Westin, in my opinion, does not have a nice beach or is it very big. The time we stayed there it was recommended that you stay out of the water. The pool areas are nice. Customer Service could be better. The location is a bit away from everything.

I would not stay at the Westin again when going back to Cancun. It just wasn't up to the Westin standards we were used to.

The Sheraton Resort and Towers is advertised as a five-star property. Only the prices, lobby, and grounds are five star. This is not the Sheraton where guests are treated as though they would want to return. The rooms are small, old, smelly, with no balcony. Spend your money somewhere else.

In that price range, I think you'll be much happier at the Fieasta Americana Condesa.

Dittto the FA Condesa opinion. We have stayed at FA and the Sheraton and wouldn't go back to the Sheraton, and Westin is too far away. Even Camino Real or El Presidente would be better. Good luck.
