Cancun where to go? 1st time

Wife and I will be vacationing in Cancun first week of December. Planning on day tripping to Chichen Itza Any tour bus sites to recommend? Never been to Cancun 1st time. What does it cost from Airport to hotel? Where to eat? Ready for some suggestions. Not a night club person...

Look at Edventuer Tours. They have fixed tours but will also set up a day around what you want to do. No large tour bus....just you and maybe a couple other people in a van.

you can rent a car and follow the old plantation railroad rights of way into the jungle.

Sorry to say, but Cancun does not have much to offer in the immediate area. You should head south (45 min.) to Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Coba and if you have time... Merida on a week-end.

Cancun has a great and beautiful beach. A trip to Isla Mujeres by ferry is a great day trip.

Renting a car is a great way to go. For a first trip, I'd make day trips to Tulum and Chichen Itza, depending on how long you are there. And leave time for that gorgeous Cancun beach!
