Cancun in August?
 

We have just returned from Playa del Carmen and although it was lovely, we missed our favorite Cancun. We are thinking of going in August (the only time we have available) but have never been during that time of year. Can anyone give any insight into the first of August as far as rain and crowds? We already know it will be hot...that's not a problem. Thanks!

the only time I've ever been to Cancun has been in August, and we've been lucky with weather, hot but there's a nice breeze on the island, and no rain. (we've usually gone early in the month.)

We went to Cancun in early August and had perfect weather. No rain whatsoever and blue skies every day. Last year we went in July and got caught up in Hurricane Emily so you never can tell! Summer months are definitely hot and usually the resorts are full. But we love it -- we keep going back!!

We've been in August, no rain, lovely weather. However, as someone mentioned, prime hurricane season.
