hello I am planning a trip to take a friend to Cancun in June. We are both 19. I am really not sure how to go about getting the plane tickets and hotel room. I went to yahoo travel and they have some packages for $2,000. Since I do not travel often, I do not know if this is a good deal or not. It doesnt say how much for the plane, just both of them together. is yahoo travel even a good place to do this? I dont know if it would be cheaper to get the plane ticets and hotel separately. I'm afraid a travel agency will rip me off. I'm planning the vacation for the end of June, around the 24th. If anyone can be kind enough to give me some advie, I'd be very grateful.

Also, I am looking at a list of 44 hotels that we can stay at, I dont knw which is better than another. Obviously, we will not have a car, and i'd like to know which one is more convienient to everything.

Cancun has several tour groups that put packages together. Funjet.com , save money when you book online. That's what I would do.

I good site to look at is www.cancunmx.com. The hotel comments & ratings is a good place to start.

We booked through AAvacations.com. and were happy with them. we got airfare from Boston to Cancun plus 7 nts at the all inclusive Cancun palace for under $1400 ea.

We have a group going the 21-27th of June email me which hotes u are considering and i would be glad to tell u which ones are close to the night life shopping and good beaches. This is only about my 12th trip to Mexico so ive stayed in a few places.
