Hi there, can annetell me if there is a gambling casino in La Fortuna near Arenal - i thought i read somewhere about one? Thanks!

Don't have a map available but th Fiesta Premier Hotel in Papayago Bay has a small casino. ( near coco beach)

Lack of response seems to indicate that there may not be anything. The only casinos we have seen in the country have been at some of the all-inclusives and, of course, San Jose hotels. Not aware of any that are not connected to hotels. Everything we've seen regarding casinos indicates that the odds are much worse than here in the U.S. at our gambling locations. That said, I did put 100 colones into a machine while waiting for a taxi at the El Gran Hotel Costa Rica and took out 200 colones! Made about a quarter! Although we like to gamble in Vegas occasionally, I'm afraid it might be more of a losing proposition than usual in Costa Rica!
