Cabo San Lucas - December end 2014
 

Hi,
Planning to do a week in Cabo San lucas around christmas with 2 boys - 6 and 10. Would appreciate any recommendations for activities and places to stay. Is renting a car recommended? Currently looking at staying at Playa Grande resort. Any thoughts on this place. First trip to this area.

If you stay at playa grande, you will not need a car. I have not stayed at PG, but it gets good reviews. Check out recs for activities on trip advisor. More active forum. With kids that age, they will be pretty happy with the pool scene. The beach is not safe, facing the Pacific. Only the resorts right on Medano beach have safe swimming.

As above, going over to Medano Beach for a day would be a nice activity, so the kids could swim in the ocean. It's lined with cute beach bars and restaurants where you can get chairs, umbrellas, restrooms, etc. for the price of some food and beverages.

Definitely read (or post) on the Cabo San Lucas forum at Trip Advisor. They were incredibly helpful to me for my first trip to Cabo.
