Cabo Matapalo

I've been to Costa Rica 5 times, but never to Cabo Matapalo area. Has anyone stayed in that area other than at the Lapa Rios? Their web site list rates of $151 PP. My husband and I don't want to spend that much money! I can only find a couple other accommodations in that area, but I have no idea how they are. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

I am also looking into that area. I have heard very good things about Bosque Del Cabo.

Thanks Beth!
Can you be a little bit more specific about what you've heard? I sure would appreciate it!

Ally,

I have found a few older posts that raved about Bosque: great food, wonderful hiking trails, lots of opportunity to see wildlife and great views. And the New Key to Costa Rica, rates it as highly recommended.

If your going to Cabo Matapalo and you can't afford Lapa Rios don't bother making the trip down there. The other accomodations can't hold a candle to Lapa Rios...$151 PP is worth every penny...The hotel is the the most amazing place I have EVER stayed in!
