Cabo a good pick for a luxurious honeymoon?
 

Trying to pick a fabulous honeymoon spot - so many options! I have heard such mixed reviews about Cabo San Lucas - has anyone stayed at a luxurious resort there or near there that you just loved - one that is fairly worry-free? Our other choices for a honeymoon are Kaui/Big Island, or Carribean (St.Bart's)- but may not want to take the risk during hurricane season. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

It's me again - what about Ixtapa for a honeymoon destination? I never hear much about it, but it seems charming?!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Las Ventanas al Paraiso. Definitely luxurious and beautiful. Worry free as all meals, work-outs, spa treatments can be had at resort. You will not be disappointed in Cabo. <BR><BR>I have also heard from friends that the Casa del Mar in Cabo is wonderful.<BR><BR>Good luck!

I have been to both areas and would choose Zihautanejo over Cabo anyday.<BR>A good web site is www.zihuatanejo.net<BR>you can explore the area from and hotel options. For what it would cost you at Ventanas for a garden view room you can rent your own Villa with Maid Service at Zihuat. also there is Casa de Canta which was featured in the movie When a Man loves a woman with Meg Ryan.<BR><BR>Take note a number of these hotels on the expensive side I have read hand out freebys to Movie Stars and other notable personalties to attach Celebrity names to their resorts to encourage the lay people to stay there and pay the big bucks. Don't be a fool<BR>expensive hotels are a dime a dozen. Shop them out.

Thanks so much for all your responses. Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa sounds like a great call. One other question - is the area very difficult to get to (i.e. do we need a car?)? We will probably have to fly through Mexico City - can't go direct, unfortuntately. Thanks!<BR>

They should have interconnecting flights to Zih. the same day hru Aero Mexico or Mexicana. It is easy to get around in Zih. because of taxis and local buses.
