Buses to Puerto Escondido
 
My boyfriend and I are planning on going to Oaxaca and Puerto Escondido for a week and a half (end of April). I did a study abroad in Oaxaca in '02, and I remember taking second class buses to Escondido and not really enjoying the experience. Can any one give me more info on taking the first class buses to Escondido? How long does the trip take? How many trips are there a day? Should we reserve our seats ahead of time.

Flying is out of our price reach, so that is not an option.

Are you asking about traveling by bus from Oaxaca to PE or from Mexico City to one or the other?

We are flying into Oaxaca and would need to take a bus from Oaxaca to PE.

Has anyone taken the collective vans to PE? Is this a better choice than the bus?
