Buses: Cancun to Chichen Itza to Merida
 

Can't decide between renting a car or taking a bus?!?
We are arriving in Cancun early early on a Friday and headed straight to Chichen Itza for the night. Renting a car can be pricey so how's the (air-cond) bus?
We are not high-maintenance travelers but will have suitcases. I've researched and found that we could take a shuttle/taxi from airport to cancun bus station, then bus to chichen itza. I read that we would then take a taxi from bus stop(?)in chichen itza to a hotel in chichen itza.(about how far is this?) Would this be a big hassle? I can't seem to find any bus schedules for this route on ticketbus.com.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, you won't find the buses you are looking for on ticketbus since they list only the first class or luxury bus schedules.
