Bus travel from Guadalajara

Anyone rode the buses lately? Going from Guadalajara to San Miguel Allende. Which bus is better - ETN or Primera Plus?
Is bus travel in this area safe? Any suggestions to keep safe on the bus?

I rode ETN from Guadalajara to Morelia a few wks ago. I love ETN. I had anough room in front of my seat to almost totally recline, and ETN has those fold-down leg rests on the back of the seat in front of you. The seats were two on one side and one on the other side. So much room.

I never felt unsafe on the bus. I always travel with a Pac-Safe purse and keep it on me.

Pac Safe bags have slash proof straps and the body of their bags have a wire mesh in them that also can not be easily cut through.
