What is the best bus line to get me from Guadalajara to Oaxaca de Juarez, and how much does it cost? How long is the trip? Do I have to go via Mexico City? Any added information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't know for sure - seems you often DO have to go via Mexico City. We've taken the bus from Mexico City to Oaxaca several times. Takes about 6 hours and cost $40 to $50 . . Sounds like a long time, but bus is very comfortable and relaxing and the second half - through high mts - is lovely.

Wow. Lots of variables. But all roads go thru DF. Check out ADO's web site for schedules. But it wouldn't hurt to check flights as well. For example, we flew from DF to Tuxtla, Chiapas via click Mexicana for $18.
