Buenos Aires - Quilmes
 

Has anyone been to Quilmes...on outskirts of Buenos Aires? Any recommended hotels for a 1-2 day stay? or should we just stay in Buenos Aires?

Hello Christina do not stay in Quilmes. It is very far from the center of the city, and the south where Quilmes is is very unsafe. Why would you want to stay there?

The reason I am planning a visit to Quilmes is because I lived there as a child. Why would you say it is not safe?

Christina, you may want to stay in Buenos Aires instead, and visit Quilmes during the day. You would spend a long time commuting otherwise. Feel free to e-mail me for more info.

I have a good friend who lives in Quilmes. When I am in Argentina I stay in Buenos Aires and she comes to visit me in the downtown area. It is a 20 peso cab ride...far less if you want to take the collectivo (bus)....

Hello Crhistina :<BR>I do not recommend you to stay in Quilmes is far away from downtown and some parts of quilmes are not safe a night. It is better to stay in downtown and you can take a remis from the hotel for fix price and go to visit.
