Buenos Aires guidebook recommendation?
Hi there. I am just beginning to think about a trip to BA in 2009 and would like to know what guidebooks you use. I've been reading the posts here for the past two weeks, but I usually like to read a couple of good guidebooks before I get too far into the planning of a trip. Any good ideas? Many thanks.

Since I haven't yet been to Buenos Aires, I don't know if my choice of books were the best.
But after pondering awhile in the book store, I chose, Fodor's Argentina. and Lonely Planet Buenos Aires. I like to go through them and use a yellow hi-lighter to hi light anything important to me. I also use those little tiny post-its to mark pages. They come in different colours and I love them. |
Thanks kodi. You can tell just by looking at my guidebooks which ones I have read. They're the ones with all the green, orange, pink and yellow post-it flags stickiing out the sides. LOL.

Oh goodie, Q is comin to Buenos Aires :D
I bought a Frommers and it stunk..way out of date info. I think Fodors might be good lol. Husband likes to read everything at home then just go .. When we went to Paris and London for the first times, I bought Access London and Access Paris..I love those books! So see if they do Access Buenos Aires.. Of course by the time you arrive, you will know someone who might have some sort of grasp of the language ... we hope :) |
Besos (is that right?) Scarlett. I'll look into the Access books. If you start googling now, you'll be ready for me in February 2009!

I, too, like the Access guides but haven't seen one for B.A. Used both Time Out and Frommers guides to B.A.
