Buenos Aires/Carmelo
Hubby and I are trying to decide on a location for travel in January. We are flexible on the time (7-12 days). We would like something that includes only luxurious accomodations and can be planned my ourselves. I was thinking of combining Four Seasons Buenos Aires and Four Seasons Carmelo. My husband would also like to see glaciers. Is there an easy way to do this as well? How many days should we spend in Buenos Aires before we move on to another location? Any help would be appreciated!!!!

I suggest you research:
http://tinyurl.com/4zlt6b and http://www.llaollao.com/ By going to Bariloche, you'll be closer to the glaciers. This is the most luxurious place in the Perito Moreno glacier: http://losnotros.com/ Just skip BA in January (too warm)and fly down to our wonderful South, right away. Have a great time in our country, Doc. |
The 4S at Carmelo is very quiet. Beautiful, but very quiet. It is on a large wide river, not the beach. If you love golf it could be a great option. The 4S BAires is an outstanding property. If you like to eat, walk and shop then you can spend as long as you like in BAires. As Rooster says, Bariloche is beautiful. No glaciers there (I think) but the Lake there and the Andes are just spectacular. Have fun.

I will check it out now. Thanks. Where would one go for beaches in Argentina?

Mar del Plata, Pinamar, many more, but foreign experts say beaches are better in other countries, such as Brazil.
Besides, in January, all our beaches are very crowded. I again suggest trying our South. Bariloche or Villa La Angostura and Calafate, where the Perito Moreno glacier is located. |
