Brazil or Bolivia in August/Sept for 12 days

If you could choose, which would you go to Bolivia or Brazil in August/Sept for about 12 days incl flying time from NYC.

Already been to Chile (santiago, wine area, vina del mar, valparaiso), Peru (lima, cusco, machupicchu and manu), Ecuador (Galapagagos, Quito and Otavalo) and Argentina (BA, Peninsula Valdez, Calafate and Bariloche).

In Bolivia, thinking of La Paz, Titicaca, Salt Pans and to Chile's Atacama Desert

In Brazil, thinking of Rio, Iguazu Falls, Salvador (dont know if there is time for anything else)

Also, which trip would probably be cheaper (not incl intl airfare). Would be staying at good hotels (but not "luxury" 5 star hotels) and flying whenever possible.
Thanks.

Those would be two very different trips. Bolivia would more closely resemble your past trips to Peru and Ecuador, the Andean portions at least, but it's still a very different country.

Travel in Bolivia is generally less expensive. Domestic airfares are cheaper too, just because distances are shorter. Distances are pretty vast in Brazil, making travel time and airfares more expensive.

You'd need a visa to travel to either country. Bolivia will also require a yellow fever vaccination. Also, if you fly from Bolivia to Chile, you will need to pay the $131 reciprocity fee that Chile charges U.S. citizens when you land there.
