DOCROX:Rafiki Safari Lodge looks interesting. WHAT else does this place have to offer when staying ALSO at BdC right after? You said it was almost better than BdC...in what ways?

shadow12- It is smaller than BdC with only 9 or 10 tents. Smaller staff so feels more homey. For example: the guy (local) who bartends in eve. is also avail. to do guided walks. Ours was free- he wasn't busy at the time. The girls who work there do whatever is needed at the time. Answering the phone, mixing a drink, serving dinner, or even swimming with guests. It is laid back but not unprofessional. One aft. we were lounging by the pool while one female employee and another female guest were painting the depth markers on the side of the pool. The rafting guides are also at the lodge in the eve. for dinner. The tents are comfortable with good views and beautiful landscaping around. The son runs the place now and makes it fun. The food, believe it or not was actually better than BdC. Thye don't do a buffet but have two choices each night. Had steak, tun, Mahi Mahi, etc. They have a great chef like Bosque. There is hiking around although not the trails like Bdc. A waterfall close by. Hiking, rafting, horseback all there with just the lodge guests. No crowds. Other trips can be arranged easily. There weren't any monkeys there though. I loved both but for different reasons.
