Bosque del Cabo- Loft Question

Hi!

I was wondering if any Fodorites had actually slept in one of the lofts at BdC. We stayed there six years ago and our daughter was terrified of the loft and would not sleep up there. I really can't remember a thing about them except that they did seem a bit scary at the time (very dark and we had a bat in our cabina most nights).

We are super excited to be heading back and are wondering if we should try a cabina with a loft or is it really, is, a little scary up there.

Thank you!!

We are going to divide out stay between Casa Blanca and two deluxe cabinas (one for us and one for my parents. The two cabinas that that are being reserved for us are Tucan and Manglillo.

From the photos that I have been able to find, the loft in Manglillo looks very nice.

If anyone has any info on either cabina or lofts, I would love to learn more.

Thank you!

I have not been able to find much information about Manglillo. I did see some photos and it looks nice. I was wondering if there are monkeys that visit or really, any information about it. Also if anyone has any details about Tucan, I would love to find out about Tucan, too!

We've stayed in Tucan. It's a great cabin. We had a lot of monkey sightings from the front porch. It has a loft with two beds up there, but we didn't stay in the loft portion.

Our family of four stayed in Tucan and the girls did sleep in the loft (ages 6 and 8 at the time). We just had a booklight for each of them and they were fine. The stairs are steep though, you don't want really young children up there. It was like their own little room, they quite liked it.

Hi Volcanogirl and Monica!

Thank you for the recommendations! Tucan does sounds wonderful! It is great to hear about the monkeys just off the front porch. We are planning to pack some electric candles for my daughter and a booklight is great idea! When stayed in La Palma, I think that loft was more rustic (it was six years ago) and there was a ladder to access the loft. The photos of the lofts in Tucan and Manglillo look really nice.

I hope to hear more about Manglillo. It looks very pretty. I am really hoping that there are lots of birds and mammals visiting it as well.
