Bosque Del Cabo
 

We're heading off to Bosque after everyone gave it such great reviews - thanks for the excellent advice! I'm just wondering which tours Bosque offers are more worthwhile than others - we'll probably only do 2 or 3 at the most. Thanks!

Well, you are certainly headed to a very special place.

Do take in some birding with Eduardo and whatever hikes Phillip has in store. Other than that you will most likely spend most of your time hiking the many wonderful trails along with several hours in a hammock gazing at the view, the monkeys and birds.

I wouldn't worry too much over the tours, just go with what you feel once you arrive. For me, I really could have stayed right there and never left. Just a wonderful, wonderful place.

We did however very much enjoy a day of offshore fishing, great fun and excitement. Met a couple at BdC who joined in, split the cost, wonderful day.

We did not do any other tours mainly due to the fact that we had already been back and forth from Puerto Jimenez and decided against another trip. The trip to PJ is required of some of those tours.

How many days do your have? We were there 4 nights and I wish I were still there!

My son and husband took a nighttime tour and they really loved it. It's pitch-black, but the guide knows where to find cool stuff.

We were at Bosque two years ago and will be returning in Aug. We all did the tour with Phillip of the rainforest and the guys did the one at night with him and loved it. We also went one day into Puerto Jimenzez and did the swimming with the dolphins. The kids fell in love with surfing but that is really not a tour. Think we will do birding with Eduardo and son wants to do the night alligator tour with Phillip. Don't miss getting a massage - it was wonderful!

I agree with donna, just do what you feel like when you feel like it. I was there for 5 nights like May and although I fully intended to do some tours, I never got around to it. There is just so much to do! Actually one of the best "tours" I had was when I ran into the ranger (I forget his name, Luis maybe?) and he walked around with me for close to an hour. He doesn't speak English and I barely speak Spanish, but we had had a great time regardless )

We were there for six nights in Feb and I also recommend the tours with Philip and Eduardo. We did the swim with the dolphin tour which included a stop at the animal rescue station on the the other side of the Gulf-we loved that place. Hiking on your own to the Pacific and Gulf beaches is fun if you like some down time at the beach. Bosque will pick you up from the Gulf beaches if you don't feel like hiking back.($10)

We were lucky enough to be at Bosque in December. What a spectacular place!
We too throughly enjoyed our walks with Eduardo. We also loved our time horseback riding with Miguel. The ride was beautiful and Miguel was simply unforgetable. Don't miss out on it if he's your tour guide.
We also surfed for an hour and that was the only tour we thought was overpriced and didn't live up to our expectations. Waves would have helped, I'm sure but the price was much steeper than the other tours.
