bosque cabin question-toucan or pizote

Can only get Casa Blanca for our last night in July. Traveling with 2 children, 11 and 12.
Trying to figure out which cabin for our first 4 nights.

Toucan has one king bed and two extra beds in the loft, one double and one single. It has the outdoor tub I have read so much about.

Pizote has two queen beds downstairs and two extra single beds in the loft.
This way kids won't have to sweat in loft and they can be on main with us.

Are views or deck or animal activitiy better in one over the other? Thanks

Tucan has great animal viewing. We saw all 4 kinds of monkeys from our front porch and scarlet macaws flew by every afternoon. Pizote might be good too though. Tucan had a big fruiting tree next to it that the monkeys hung out in. Love the tub too, so I'd pick Tucan. To me, it's all pretty hot and humid.

VG, is it hot and humid at night with fans? I know you were there in july too. I have a ton of hair so am sure it will never dry!

Tucan was my first request bc of your comments but like that we could all sleep downstairs where it is hopefully cooler.

p, yes, I was hot at night, but I tend to be hot blooded. It was in the 90s during the day, but dropped into the 80s at night. We have one of those clocks that tells the temperature, and I don't think it ever got below the 80s. It was very humid. You can sleep with your louvered windows open and doors open if you want to to increase the breeze. Sometimes you can get a breeze off the water.

We stayed in February and didn't find the heat/humidity to be an issue at night. And that was sleeping with the doors closed (no critters in the casite, thank you). Ceiling fan was enough.

Hike enough during the day, have an Imperial at dinner, and you'll sleep like a baby.

We picked Tucan over Pizote... even though the photos of Pizote look beautiful... primarily for the bird viewing. plambers… during which part of July will you be there?
