booking internal CR flights
thinking of flying nature air or Sansa (any recommendations on which is better) and a little frightened but will try to stay tough! Anyone know if we are better off booking beforehand..we leave in a week..
|
Definitely book beforehand as you are going in the high season. Some of these planes are really small (5-6 passengers) so they fill up very quickly. The best way to do your reservation is to ask your hotels in CR to reserve for you. I don't know if one is better than the other but Sansa tends to fly bigger plans (still small by US standards but bigger than NatureAir).

Hi Jessy,
We leave in a couple days and booked our Sansa flights about 2 months ago. We didn't have much to choose from back then for the days we needed. You can check their website, fill in the dates and locations, then see if they have availability for your days or times. Sansa's terminal is very close to the San Jose Airport and Nature is Further away, I think someone said its about a 25 min. taxi ride. Hope this helps, TRIP |
I would suggest you get a receipt or written confirmation from Sansa.
Our travel agent prepaid our flight to Quepos and they denied having any record of it. |
Can only relay my recent experience on Nature Air. We landed in San Jose during the trucker strike this summer. On last minute notice, Nature Air was able to secure a plane, and 2 pilots to tranport my family out of San Jose to Liberia. They were professional and unbelievably helpful during a really stressful time.
It took about 20 minutes to get from San Jose to the airport that Nature Air services. |
Quite often we just have the hotel that we are flying to make the in country air reservations for us. One way or the other, you should probably get right on it.
