Best steak parrilla in B.A.?
I've read where NOT to go (Cabaña las Lilas, for example), but I'd love to hear what people's favorite parillas in Buenos Aires are.
On my list to consider for our visit are La Brigada in San Telmo & El Mirasol in Recoleta. ¿Si o No? |
There is a La Brigada in Recoleta/Barrio Norte on Peña and that I have heard is even better than the one in San Telmo which is quite crowded and busy most of the time..especially Sundays ..
My friends are really happy with La Cabrera in Palermo Soho...on Thames and Cabrera.. |
La Brigada in Recoleta is fine. I really enjoy El Mirasol in Recoleta as well but my favorite steakhouse is La Cabrera in Palermo Soho.
Good steaks are everywhere in BA...so it is hard to go wrong...you might overpay but the quality is excellent in hoity toity establishments as well as corner joints. |
If you would like a small Locals kind of place..try El Yugo on Ayachucho between Vicente Lopez and Las Heras...we have had lunch there a few times and friends swear by the steak..

I haven't been on this site for a while, so I don't know what people are saying about Cabana Las Lilas, but that was our favorite restaurant in B.A. Admitedly we were only there for a few days, and this was a couple of years ago, but I thought the food was excellent and the ambiance of the place was great. I did not care for the food at La Brigada in San Telmo.

For value, I don't think we could have found a better place then Juana M (near where Avenida 9 de Julio intersects with Libertador).
The quality of the steaks was excellent and the price was amazingly cheap. With any entre a salad bar is included at no additional charge. Juana M is a little off the beaten path, so you have to be looking for it. |
Thank you for the suggestions, especially the small "local's" place.
