Best Spanish Lessons

Does anybody have recommendations for Spanish lessons. Tapes and/or Books. The selection is large and some look mediocre at best. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I recently got Spanish for Dummies. To me it is a great way to get started learning Spanish. It starts off with the basics and works it way up. Very useful book that also comes with a CD.

Tommy

For some reason this post came up in the Brasil search. If you are going there, try the Portuguese tapes :-)

Tom: Recommended books, 501 spanish verbs, by Christopher Kendris, and Teach yourself spanish by Juan Kattan-Ibarra( you can also buy the tape to accompany it). Used both of these books when taking lessons from a very qualified spanish teacher. Also good--web site, www.studyspanish.com
